Sold on Stripes

Usually, whenever I would begin packing for a long weekend on Cape Cod, I would get anxiety about what to bring; thinking that my New Yorker wardrobe was too severe. After a few weekend getaways to the Cape, I quickly realized that I already had an abundance of family-weekend approved/New England ready outfits. I just needed to ditch my leather pants (gasp!), in order to pair all my stripes (of which I've acquired too many!), with some high-waisted denim shorts. And, opt for either Birks or boardwalk friendly sandals to spend the day in.
Snapped these before I took my birthday trip to the Cape. Super fun to check out of the city and get some fresh air, sip on drinks all day with friends, and eat until you just can't eat any more. Weekends like these, are what I live for.
I've recently really been into mixing prints, like stripes and florals! Pairing abstract prints together, can get messy, but my take on this trend, is to just go for it. Stripes and denim, is as classic as classic gets! But make the most use out of your wardrobe, and mix those prints together if you feel like it! Plus, a striped sweater is only the most solid investment - timeless and travel worthy!
