Almond Milk:
Almond milk is the litmus test for whether any given coffee shop in New York is “current.” Right now I would say about 40% of places offer it, with higher rates in hip neighborhoods. My friend Jilly lives in Williamsburg, and when she asked a café if they had almond milk, the barista looked at her like she was insane and responded, “Why wouldn’t we?”
Les comparto esta entrevista que tuve hace poco con los chicos del programa Trends, desde Café Unido en el American Trade Hotel del Casco Viejo… Por cierto, Café Unido es probablemente el único café en Panamá que ofrece leche de almendra como alternativa para sus bebidas cafeinadas, lo cual, según la Man Repeller, lo corona como el café más cool de Panamá. No puedo estar más de acuerdo… visítenlo en Coco del Mar ó Casco Antiguo si es que no lo conocen todavía :)

Check out this recent interview I had with the Trends team, while sipping an iced almond milk latte at Café Unido in the American Trade Hotel in Casco Viejo… They are, by the way, probably the only café in Panama that offers almond milk as an alternative for their caffeinated drinks, which, if you agree with the Man Repeller, means that Unido is the hippest coffee place in Panama. I, for one, definitely agree! Visit them at their Coco del Mar and Casco Viejo locations if you haven’t been yet :)
