If there is one thing women love more than shopping, it's a long session of preening and pampering. The Taj Salon ladies are smart like that. They knew just how to keep us interested as they offered haircuts, hairdos, mani-pedis, makeup and shoulder rubs in the very luxurious salon at The Taj Land's End. As expected, there was an abundance of plush products being used in all services but what we didn't expect was the beautiful ambience and a quiet piece of sea that you could stare into from the mani-pedi stations.

The Taj Hospitality extends to the salon for sure as no corners were cut irrespective of how many treatments you opted for. I did go in with the mindset that this is a great but unaffordable place and I will have to wait till another blogger's meet to be able to enjoy the services here but after I mustered the courage to look up prices I realised (to my utter joy) that I could come here again without burning a hole in my pocket. At my local salon I pay about Rs. 1,200/- for a decent mani-pedi but at Taj Salon you can avail of a quiet ambience, luxury products, acetone-free nail paint removers and quick drying nailpaint sprays along with a reflexology massage (and not those 2-minute annoying massages) for approximately Rs.1,600/-
Certainly worth a sneak peak, the Taj Salon is a far cry away from the overbearing, crowded and unnecessarily priced local salons for a price that is only slightly more than what you would normally pay.
