The Georg Jensen dinner to celebrate Reflections, published by Rizzoli

One of the most beautiful dinners I’ve been to recently was to mark the publication of ‘Reflections’, published by Rizzoli, which examines the history of Georg Jensen, as they celebrate their 110th anniversary. Founded in 1904, Georg Jensen has a deep heritage in high-end silversmithing, and is now arguably the preeminent luxury silver brand in the world.

The intimate dinner for thirty was hosted by David Chu, their new CEO.at The Serpentine Sackler Gallery, along with the book’s author Murray Moss. (Below.)

The Sackler, in Hyde Park, was hosting Cerith Wyn Evans’ (now closed) major solo show, with sounds, lights and above all a neon text that wrapped frieze-like around the entire exhibition space, making a glorious setting for the dinner.

Murray Moss, below, is the design entrepreneur behind the legendary design art company Moss. This beautiful book he has both written and curated for Georg Jensen gives a lavish and in-depth look at some stunning silver creations in history. It contains historic photographs and drawings from Jensen’s extensive archive, which display the incredible craftsmanship and technical innovations of Jensen’s highly skilled silversmiths.

I was wearing three pieces from the new Dune collection: two of the new Dune necklaces, and matching Dune ring in rose gold and diamonds for the dinner.

We ate :

Starter: Aberdeen Angus Beef Tartare, Pickled Beetroot and Frozen Foie Gras
Main course: Lobster, Cauliflower and Yazu
Desert: Chocolate, Nougat and Coffee
