Ich melde mich zurück nach einer ergiebigen Blogpause. Wow, Dezember 2013 erschien der letzte Beitrag. Da hatten meine Haare noch grüne Spitzen und Weihnachten stand vor der Tür. Es kommt mir gar nicht so vor, als hätte ich das letzte Mal vor 9 Monaten einen Post geschrieben. Gründe gibt es viele: Masterarbeit, Arbeit, Fernbeziehung, Reisen. Doch nun juckt es mir wieder in den Fingern und ich möchte gern ein paar Momente mit euch teilen. Das letzte Wochenende war ich zum ersten Mal in Potsdam. Kurz nach Ankunft am Schloss Sanssouci sollte es für 1,5 Stunden durch den hübschen Park gehen, bis wir ins Schloss konnten. Doch kaum nach 5 Minuten standen wir im strömenden Regen und ich sendete Flüche Richtung Himmel. Chinesisches Teehaus adé. Nass und durchgefroren sollte es dann ins wunderhübsche Schloss von Friedrich II gehen.

Als wir mit der Tour fertig waren, erbarmte sich sogar Madame Sonne und wärmte uns mit ihren Sonnenstrahlen und wir konnten tatsächlich das hübsche Potsdam unter blauem Himmel erkunden. So ging es ins Holländische Viertel, in dem wir uns die Bäuche vollschlugen und die frisch zugelegten Kalorien dann durch einen Walk zur Russischen Kolonie Alexandrowka wieder abwatschelten. Eigentlich standen noch das Schloss Cecilienhof, die Glienicker Brücke (Spy Bridge) und der Botanische Garten auf der Tagesliste, doch Kuchen und Bier fuhren den Energiemodus auf Null und so ging es etwas früher zurück Richtung Friedrichshain. Es bleiben ein paar Gründe zum Wiederkommen. Potsdam stellte sich als die absolute Prinzessinnenstadt heraus und muss mit seinen hübschen Cafés und Restaurants definitiv wieder besucht werden!

Long time, no see. I cannot believe it is already 9 months since I last made a post. By this time I still had some green leftovers in my hair and Christmas was around the corner. Anyway, loads of circumstances kept me busy and away from the blog: Master thesis, work, long-distance relationship and traveling. Since then, loads has happened and I want to start writing again. So let´s start with my most recent trip to Potsdam. Potsdam is a really nice and cute town which I definitely have to visit again seeing the weather was not on our side for this day. After arriving at the Sanssouci palace there was still time left to walk around the gardens before we could visit the palace. Unfortunately it chucked it down with rain and I was soaking wet, so I sent some curses up to the sky. Nevertheless the tour through the royal chambers was definitely uplifting and the sun came out afterwards as well. So we were allowed to enjoy walking through the beautiful Dutch Quarter and the Russian Colony Aleksandrowka. We filled our bellies with cake and beer. Originally we were planning on seeing more stuff like the Spy Bridge, Cecilienhof palace and other museums but the rained dampened our spirits so we went home earlier than we planned. Nevertheless there are some reasons left to come back and enjoy more of the cute cafés and restaurants in the fairytale town.
