My granny square crochet blanket is broken!

The Gypsy Blanket. Do you remember? The granny square crochet blanket that took me 2 years, 7 months and 10 days to finish... 320 squares. 1920 ends weaved in. Yep! It has been living in our home for a little bit over a year now. Used on a daily basis. Dragged around, cuddled up in, folded nicely, building material for secret places... We love The Gypsy Blanket. It is still looking as good as new. No pilling, no faded colors, no loosing shape. Staying fit, she is my dear Gypsy Blanket, if a crochet blanket can be fit that is... And so imagine my distress when i discovered it was broken!

AUCH!

A stitch has opened up and started to unravel. Oh my God! This has to be fixed! But how to proceed? I searched the Internet of course with no real luck I have to admit. The wound is small and I guess I will wing up a solution for this... A darning needle, teeny tiny crochet hook maybe... I'll let you know how it goes. Wish me luck.
