Obiqo Skincare Review + Giveaway | My Beauty Picks

During the month of May I had the chance to test out two skincare products from Obiqo Skincare -- a New Zealand brand that is gentle on the skin. Typically I have a hard time finding skincare products that my face likes, and doesn't react to. For in the past, I have tried out some organic brands and the Say Yes To... brand, but those just made me breakout every time I used them. At first, when I was younger, I just thought my skin didn't like to be washed, as my skin would always breakout after every time I washed it. Silly me. So of course, I was excited to find out if Obiqo Skincare would work for me, as I do use Simple and it does work for me, but I wanted to have other brands work for my skin too.

Obiqo Gentle Face Wash (on sale for $14.99) -- A clear face wash gel that turns into a luxurious foam when you add some water. What I love about this face wash is that it is perfect for both morning and nighttime, and it really helps take out my makeup at night. Whenever I wash my face with this product, I take a small amount (about one squeeze) into my palm, and add some water to create the foam. I then apply it all over my face in a circler motion with my fingertips. Once I'm done, I will take either a damp washcloth (or if they all need to be washed), I will grab a couple up&up exfoliating cotton rounds that are slightly damp and rinse off my face with warm water. And of course, pat my face dry with a soft hand towel.

Obiqo Gentle Face Scrub (on sale for $13.99) -- I adore face scrubs and masks, so of course I was going to try theirs out when I was picking out my two products to review. What I like about this product is that it is gentle to the skin, and doesn't feel real harsh (like my Clean & Clear ones) so I can use it on a more daily basis. Of course, I recommend that use it at most 3 times a week, even if it is more gentle than other face scrubs out there. I apply the face scrub in a circler motion with my fingertips all over my face (being sure to avoid my eye area), just make sure your face is slightly damp first before applying the scrub. Once I'm done, I will let it sit for about a minute before taking either a damp washcloth (or if they all need to be washed), I will grab a couple up&up exfoliating cotton rounds that are slightly damp and rinse off my face with warm water. Then once again, pat my face dry with a soft hand towel. Once I'm done washing my face, and applying my face scrub I will finish off with my current favorite face moisturizer.

- These products have really helped clear up skin, that I don't have as many break-outs anymore.
- My skin has look more clear and even toned, that I don't need as much concealer or foundation.
