I’ll be honest, it was the kitchen that caught my eye. Regardless of the size of the home, the kitchen must be a place that I could spend hours in and be able to move and make a mess freely. In 1980 John Alexander purchased this downtown Manhattan loft, and with the help of designer Richard Mishaan, John and his partner Fiona Waterstreet have mastered turning a loft into a home. While the high ceilings and open spaces are for the most part in tact (check out the studio), the bathroom is a decor magazine’s dream and the kitchen is, well, you already know I’m smitten, their space has pockets of cozy throughout. Enjoy the tour.
