I often get asked: “Why do you love vintage so much?” Here’s a good example of why…

My friend Jacqui and I thought we’d pop into The Vintage Experience market last Wednesday evening in hope that we’d find some pretty cool clothes for the upcoming spring/summer seasons. I get all warm and fuzzy inside when I see signs that read “R40 sale rack”, or “Nothing over R50″. Jacqui bought a beautiful knitted ivory white jersey with delicate pearl accents and a pretty patterned shirt. I bought an electric blue wrap dress (perfect for spring) for R50. It felt a bit weird to only leave with one item (as one does), so I asked Jacqui if we could have one more look through the stalls. And I’m so glad that I did! I found an authentic (and luxurious) Yves Saint Laurent jacket at an unbelievable price from La Vintage.

This, my friends, is why I LOVE vintage.
