Essie The Perfect Cover Up

It’s finally starting to feel a bit like fall here in Charlotte which is good, not only because I’m over the hot weather, but because I’m really getting into fall nail polish collection. Essie’s Dress To Kilt collection is my current favorite for fall. I absolutely loved Style Cartel, Fall In Line and Partner in Crime so my expectations were high for The Perfect Cover Up.

I’m going to be honest; I find this polish quite ugly in the bottle. It’s not a polish I’d see in the store and pick up. But y’all, on the nail, it’s gorgeous and even a bit unusual.

The Perfect Cover Up is a gray creme with significant green or teal undertones. The polish is a chameleon. Depending on the light this can look gray or green. Either way, it looks super chic. This is a great way to wear dark polish without it looking jarring.

The formula is good though slightly thick but not difficult to work with. I used 2 coats in my swatches.

I really loved wearing this polish. It feels fresh for fall.

The Dressed to Kilt collection is currently available at Ulta as well as on Amazon.

As always, there are swatches under the jump!
