OPI Brand New Skates

Meet one of my biggest nail polish regrets OF ALL TIME. Brand New Skates is from the 2008 OPI Holiday in Toyland collection and at that moment in time I was having a weird nail polish phase where I quit wearing dark polishes. I KNOW. I don’t know what I was thinking.

After years of sleepless nights and prayers to the nail polish gods this beauty arrived in my mailbox one day from none other than my fellow TDVer, Katie. All that waiting was completely worth it because I love this polish!

Brand New Skates is a smokey gray packed with gold microshimmer and flaky gold glitter. It’s gorgeous and so unique. I love how it flashes gold when it catches the light.

The formula has a bit of a jelly feel to it so I did need 3 coats to get an opaque color. I’m curious to try this over a black polish; I bet it’s gorgeous.

I love sharing polishes I really like but am always wary of sharing polishes that have long been discontinued. But, good news with Brand New Skates, it’s still available on Amazon.
