SinfulColors Gilded

Thanksgiving is tomorrow! I am so excited. I adore Thanksgiving. Tuesday and Wednesday are my prep days (I made pecan pie yesterday) which makes Thanksgiving day much more enjoyable.

SinfulColors sent me some of their holiday glitters and Gilded stood out to me because it doesn’t scream Christmas. I felt like Gilded would be totally appropriate to rock before Thanksgiving. Not only have I worn this glitter on its own I used it to create a fantastically fall manicure (though I completely ruined that manicure cracking pecans).

Gilded is a lovely polish. The base is a sheer pink leaning gold mircoshimmer that is packed with larger red glitter. The formula is thin though not runny. I used three coats in my swatches and while it’s definitely still sheer it somehow works with this polish.

What I think is so awesome about this polish is it looks like a neutral despite the fact that it’s glittery fun. I don’t think anyone would bat an eye if I wore this in a conservative work environment.

While this polish is totally wearable on its own I did use it over a deep red (Stand By Your Man from deborah lippmann I’ve Gotta Be Me 15th anniversary set…review of that coming very, very soon) to create a lovely manicure. There are swatches of that under the jump along with swatches of Gilded on its own.

Gilded is part of the SinfulColors permanent line so it should be easy to track down. It’s quite the versatile polish to have in your collection!
