new from clinique chubby sticks range

Although I haven’t been in school for a bit of time now, a hint of sadness always rolls over me once August hits. Instead of back to school, it’s back to actual work mode (hello #NYFW!) and goodbye summer (and Summer Fridays if you’re lucky).

When Clinique’s newest summer offering arrived at my doorstep, I was reminded that I have a solid 27 days left until Labor Day* and that I should live it up! (Makeup wise that is)

Clinique’s famed Chubby Stick collection is introducing Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm ($17) and Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm ($21) this month-both of which keeps you in the summer mood for a little while longer. The Baby Tint balms come in four sheer shades that offer a personalized color on each person (#fancy) and bring out your lips’ natural tone. Infused with Vitamin C, she’s butter, mango seed butter, and jojoba seed oil each come in the easy to use crayon (perfect for throwing it in your beach bag, purse, etc.) I have pretty pigmented lips and didn’t notice a major difference in terms of color payoff (not surprising as this happens with almost all sheer lip products) but I do love how moisturizing these were.

The Cheek Colour Balm is what interests me most as I’ve mentioned before that I’ve been having a makeup free summer due to the humidity. The Cheek Colour Balm is a sheer, creamy cheek color that imparts a rosy look on all skin tones. With four different shades you’re bound to find one that matches you and allows you to wear makeup without having to worry about whether or not it’s too hot to be wearing makeup. Per the brand they contain lecithin, squalane, phytosteryl isostearate (what??)**, and Vitamin E to help “enhance barrier repair and gives this formula it’s non-drying properties, while still being water, swear, and humidity-resistant.” Apply directly onto cheeks and blend with your fingers or a brush and boom! Done.

Both products are available this month at Clinique counters and Clinique.com
