Paula's Choice The Nude Mattes Palette: Swatches and Review

For today's selection, I have a bit of a fail to share with you. I don't always write about my fails, but maybe this will be helpful.

Paula's Choice has joined the nude palette bandwagon with a selection of mostly matte colors. One shade has shimmer, which adds a nice option to the matte colors.

The colors range from light cream to deep black. I think they included a nice selection of warm and cool colors, as well as some nice in between shades.

Here is where you can really begin to see the shortcomings of this palette. The shades were all chalky and hard to apply and build. Sometimes a palette will swatch poorly, but perform better when applied to the eye. This was not the case, unfortunately.
