Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Jewelry Trends

Over the past few seasons, the styles of jewelry have been diverse, but this fall/winter season there seems to be more of a variety to choose from. From big pendants and sparkly Swarovski to dainty gold chains with bohemian flavor, you’ll have fun experimenting and incorporating these jewelry trends into this seison’sardrobe. Here are just a few that I have my eye on...

Go Big or Go Home
If you’re all about expressing your bold personality through jewelry, this is certainly the time to do so. Many fashion designers featured oversized earrings, necklaces, and bangles on the runways. They came in all different materials and styles - gold hoops, ornate chandelier earrings, big leather bracelets with feathers. This gives the phrase “conversation pieces” a whole new dimension because people will definitely be talking about this jewelry.

The Statement Necklace Remains
Don’t put away those big pendant necklaces quite yet (or ever, I think). Whether it’s big gold chains, long necklaces with huge baubles, or brooch-style necklaces with Swarovski crystals the size of a small planet, it’s all about making a statement. Designers like Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel were not shy (Is Lagerfeld ever shy?) about showing off their creative genius with necklace pieces.

Stack Those Rings
Last year it was the arm party. This year it’s all about the finger party. Wearing multiple rings on more than one finger is no longer reserved for gypsies or psychics who peer in crystal balls. Midi-rings are also big this season. I recently purchased a dainty gold set of rings with small diamonds at H & M that I love. Gift and Wrap has a nice selection of Pandora rings that are stackable including a very cute bow ring that I'm adding to the wishlist. Want to know how to layer rings? Put a Triangle On It
We’ve been seeing the triangle motif mixed in with chevron and tribal designs, and this fall/winter season triangles and geometric shapes have been a phenomenon, incorporated in everything from earrings to rings and necklaces.
