The Other Golden Hour

“Nobody looks back on their life and remembers the nights they had plenty of sleep.”

This has probably been the most amazing, challenging, surprising, emotionally trying, and magical year of my life thus far. I have made incredible new friends, revived important relationships, and learned more about myself and my personal capabilities than I could have ever imagined. I’ve accomplished things I never thought possible and I’ve crashed and burned my way through many poor decisions. Staying up all night to watch the sunrise with two of the most important people in my life on this particular San Francisco morning was certainly not one of them….

I’ve learned that being alone is important, but you don’t always have to be. It is OK to lean on the people who care about you, learn from your mistakes, and live knowing that each day brings new possibility…as long as you keep a positive outlook. After two months of wandering, contemplating, and straight up relaxing in California, I am headed back to New York tomorrow. Feeling refreshed and excited to be home in the Big Apple…more ready than ever to ring in what I’m sure will be another wildly eventful year!
