After ten days on the road (Austin > Baton Rouge > New Orleans > Smoky Mountains > Nashville), it is nice to be “home” in LA. Nothing like a little downtime with friends and family before I head back to reality in New York City early next month!
I am so grateful for the freedom that has come with my new professional endeavors. Being able to wander the country, experience new things, spend time in the town where I grew up, and just live is completely invaluable.
Spent the day with my bestie Liz, enjoying the sunshine, drinking mimosas and riding around town. I know it is days like today that I will look back on and remember always.
I may be confused as hell and feel lost at times, but I can say without a doubt that these past few months of travel and self-discovery have been so pivotal. I take my responsibilities very seriously (sometimes to a fault), but if there’s one thing that I’ve learned, it’s that sometimes you just need to put the bullshit aside, let your hair down and just live.
