Double Dare

Sometimes it is easy to forget just how many exciting things this city has to offer. You can literally leave your apartment at any given moment and create your own crazy adventure. I am so fortunate to live in a place where every second brings a new surprise, and I look back on the times when I’ve just run around doing whatever random activity would present itself as the best days.

This is something I have been striving to do more of – get out, explore, and enjoy all of the cool things there are to do in NYC. For this reason, I was excited when GUESS approached me with a fun challenge to “Dare To Make Everyday an Adventure” – a campaign inspired by their new Dare perfume (which is basically a pretty little bottle of light flowery happiness).

So, over the weekend my friends Jess and Jono joined me on a spontaneous and awesome adventure all throughout downtown Manhattan. We started out in Chinatown, and ventured into some of the most bizarre and entertaining shops…there is so much hustle and bustle there on a Sunday, the energy is insane! Then we made our way to Little Italy, only to stumble upon the annual Festival De San Gennaro, which was flooded with people, food, drinks, games, rides, and cotton candy! My kinda party. And obviously you can’t leave Little Italy without getting a slice of pizza, so naturally that came next.

We did a little shopping (I found some awesome rings from a street vendor in SoHo) and came across some very cool timepiece necklaces. We made our way to a cute little wine bar in Nolita, and then headed back to wrap things up on the roof, where we watched a breathtaking sunset through the New York City skyline. A perfect day. And guess what…we smelled good the whole way through!
