Comfort Zone

I am so drawn to comfort in the form of a slouchy top styled up with a well-fitted pair of jeans. Fortunately, there are more than enough ways to make this sort of look a lot less frumpy than it sounds! Let’s take it from the top…

When it comes to fashion, there’s nothing I’m a bigger advocate for than having a good collection of basics: soft tees, cozy knits, and great layering pieces. Since temps have dropped, I’ve started stocking up on sweaters like nobody’s business. But lately, instead of going for the simplest, most wearable options, I’ve been looking for staples with a little sass. I love the speckled thing this T by Alexander Wang sweater has going on!

These jeans are super fitted, but without being the least bit annoying to wear. I swear, with James Jeans you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort…gotta love good quality denim. I decided to roll these up and go for the cropped look, which I am sort of a sucker for these days.

The trick to jazzing up a super simple ensemble…it’s all about accessories. Not always a fan of the matchy-matchy, but I couldn’t resist pairing my burgundy Getty backpack with these lace-up heels by Opening Ceremony. Guess I just love the way this color compliments the grassy green! Topped things off with a funky fur hat and called it a day.

James Jeans has been kind enough to extend their promotion for OnTheRacks readers for an additional month! Just use code JJ008 at checkout for 25% off your entire purchase. Perfect time to stock up on some sweet denim…enjoy!
