Spa-cation at Dormy House

A while or so ago, *I was invited to experience a unique spa-cation at the newly opened House Spa at Dormy House, a privately owned boutique hotel and it has just been opened following a multi-million pound renovation that has transformed the traditional 17th century Cotswold farmhouse into the finest house spa and boutique hotel in the heart of Cotswolds.

I was fortunate to stay in one of the two largest and most luxurious suites, The Loft. I couldn’t hide my giddy self when I spotted a giant bath tub in the open plan space in the corner, and next to it stands a gorgeous decorated dressing table, I’d be happily sit on a stool in front of the vanity mirror for hours doing the normal girl thing. I have to say, I slept very well, very very well indeed. To those who don’t know I have insomnia since the beginning of teenage years, sometimes staying at a hotel often help induce my sleepless zombie-self, the king sized bed and duvet in The Loft suite was just perfect, like being wrapped with a giant marshmallow, a few spritz of Temple Spa pillow spray over the pillow, and I swear by my Holistic Silk silk and velvet lining eye mask filled with real lavender, it helps improve my sleep deprived state.

I was looking forward to indulge myself with one of the treatments listed on the menu, my face have suffered enough stress-related spots and dried prune textured patches throughout November – December, I booked in for a 60 minute Face Pure Massage along with head-scalp massage. The treatment was very relaxing, calming and therapeutic, I managed to doze off peacefully without any disturbance. My skin was left feeling smooth, supple, and rejuvenated. A selection of healthy salad of your choice for post-treatment lunch at The Greenhouse – it was nutritious, light, and pretty enough to eat.

Wish I stayed longer to experience their other spa facilities – the 16m infinity swimming pool, Rasul Mud Room & Treatment Suite, The Nail Parlour, Thermal Suite, and the Garden Hydro Pool. Time did not allow it and had to head back to London, and back to normal hectic life, another time hey?
