Miscellany

It’s been awhile since I did a miscellany post and it’s also a great opportunity to clear through the things I bookmarked for the blog. Win-win. I hope you find it interesting.

An old but great editorial shoot from 2012 titled “Nairobi” for LOVE Magazine.

The Protohaus is a stylish timber trailer home fabricated from recycled or reclaimed materials. Measuring 125 square feet, this little dwelling is:

“built on a trailer bed rated to withstand 14,000 pounds. Separate fresh, grey, and black water systems are integrated into the design allowing for remote removal and disposal of waste. A solar and wind system power the house allowing it to be off grid.”

I’d love to spend a summer holiday in one of them.

Adriaan Louw is a talented South African photographer and film maker. He recently shot model Giannina Antonette and the images are really beautiful.

If you follow me on Pinterest, you will notice the proliferation of baby and kid-related pins lately. No I am not pregnant, but quite a few of my lovely friends are and I’m planning to be the best surrogate “auntie” ever. Here are some of my finds:

The final season of Mad Men has started and I’m going to relish it.

Artist and illustrator Neryl Walker created this lovely, playful illustration of Gorman’s Winter Harvest dress.

Speaking of food, I’d like to give this recipe for yoghurt with toasted quinoa, dates and almonds a try.
