Playing dead and sweet submission, cracks the whip deadpan on cue
We went out for the
most marvellous wine sodden dinner at
King of Snake with our friends Claire and Mike while they were over from Australia, with
their friends Ken and Nicola.... I wisely wore a good eating frock; this 60's number from
Retropolitan was both classy and comfortable, not a little unlike myself.
We are blessed to cycle around the Avon River on our way to work each day, and whenever we go into town-or what passes for town in these post earthquake days. The bird life is wonderful; loads of quacks of various breeds, sometimes swans. At the moment there are masses of Canadian geese about! Typically, they all scarpered when we were taking pix.
Bastards!
Handbag-60's, opshopped Shoes-Trade Me (splendidly clumpy!) Brooch-opshopped Sunglasses-50's, from my lovely
Sue Headpiece-flash wedding frock lace from Claire, who manages a bridal wear making salon place thingy, that I hot glued a clip onto Earrings-made by Claire and Mike!
My tattoo is an Alphonse Muscha design, people often think it's a Native American Indian?!
After dinner we popped into
Mexicanos, a new bar and restaurant, for a nightcap. I'm looking
distinctly squiffy eyed. That about sums up the first two weeks of January! (I had to go to work the next day, dammit, but don't I suit that sombrero?!)
Thank you all for the divoon birthday wishes! It's been rather splendid!
