Exclusive Preview: Phlegm @ Canal Mills, Leeds

So we got invited to the exclusive preview of world renowned muralist Phlegm‘s new murals that have just been completed at Canal Mills. What better person to review this than the amazing Joy G, aka Morbid (also going by the moniker Cbloxx.) As the art director for Leeds’ independent film festival No/Gloss, an established commissioned graffiti artist herself and a long time fellow Bad Fotography collaborator, she gives us the lowdown of what went on in that amazing artspace, in her point of view: —– On hearing that fellow Yorkshire man Phlegm would be returning to the land of Steel and Wool for his latest installation, I immediately presumed that it would take place in his home town of Sheffield. However, it seems a long overdue looming dawn of visual arts has begun to rear its head from the cosmopolitan swamp that is Leeds. This is in part mainly to the persistent efforts of many talented, hard working, local creative’s and independent businesses fighting to stay afloat in this city.
