(all Acure Organics) facial cleanser | brightening facial scrub | firming body lotion | radical wrinkle complex | eye cream | line eraser | french clay facial mask For as long as I can remember, I've been a huge proponent of organic, plant based facial cleansing products. As we are surrounded by makeup products that are not necessarily composed with the most healthiest of ingredients, it is always a good antidote to free our skin of harsh elements and chemicals after a long day's work. My all time favorites happen to come from the
Acure Organics line, which I normally buy physically at my local Whole Foods. I basically wash my makeup off with the
facial cleanser, apply the
brightening scrub every 2-3 days, and hydrate my face daily with the
eye cream and
radical wrinkle complex cream. Good stuff, I tell ya.
As for makeup, I do use drugstore brand foundation, powder, and lipstick just because the colors match my skin tone the best. To create a barrier between the makeup and my actual skin, I use Tarte's clay based Smooth Operator powder to create a
matte look that lasts all day. I'm quite a sucker for eye makeup, so I prep by applying Urban Decay's
eyelash primer and Naked 2
eyeshadow palette, NARS' smudgeproof
eyeshadow primer, and Clinique's
bottom lash mascara. I also like a good glow on my cheeks, so using cult favorites such as
blush sets by NARS and Benefit's High Beam
luminizer always does the trick. And on the weekends when I like to have a bare face, spritzing on some of Caudalie's
beauty elixir always makes me feel brand new.
What are your favorites? I'd love to know! I figured this beauty regimen post is long overdue, so I hope this helped answer some of your questions. Love you all.
