Welcome to my spaceship

Nog nooit heb ik zoveel reacties gekregen op een nagellak als bij deze OPI Push and Shove (Gwen Stefani collectie). Begrijpelijk natuurlijk, als je een blik werpt op mijn metaal-achtige nagels. “Welcome to my spaceship” is dan ook een heel toepasselijke titel, want je waant je zowaar in 2532, niet in 2014. Heel passend binnen het ganse chrome-fashion gebeuren voor deze zomer. En een accessoire op zich – dat is zeker.

I have never gotten so many comments on a nail polish than on this OPI Push and Shove (Gwen Stefani collection). Understandable of course, if you take a look at my metal-like nails. “Welcome to my spaceship” is therefore a very appropriate title, because you feel like you are actually in 2532, not in 2014. Very cool in combination with the whole chrome-fashion trend for this summer. And an accessory in itself – that’s for sure.

Waar ik voor werd gewaarschuwd, bleek ook waar te zijn: dit lakje is een one-night-only, en dus niet geschikt om een halve week mee rond te lopen. Op mijn kunstnagels blijft hij iets langer mooi: zo’n drie dagen. Maar daarna was het gedaan met de pret. Tip van OPI: breng onder de verplichte base coat ook nog een laag van je favo base coat aan, voor extra lang plezier. En komt niet in de verleiding een top coat te gebruiken, want dan help je het hele effect om zeep.

Where I was warned for, turned out to be true: this polish is a one-night-only, and therefore not suitable for wearing to the office 5 days in a row. On my gel manicure, the polish stays a little longer: about three days. But after those three days, the fun was over. OPI’s tip: use a layer of your favourite base coat underneath the mandatory one, for an extra day of metal nails. And do not use a top coat, as the effect will be ruined.
