De feestdagen liggen volgens jou nog ver in de toekomst? Misschien. Maar die laatste weken vlak voor Kerstmis en co. heb je meestal handen en tijd tekort. En daarom is nú het ideale moment om eens stil te staan bij je make-up en verzorgingsritueel. Heel veel maskertjes en een goede hydratatie zijn essentieel. Maar in welke producten moet je investeren om alle nachtelijke feestjes en diners te doorstaan, of om er gewoon op je best uit te zien? In deze 5-delige reeks heb ik het over mijn persoonlijke must-haves voor tijdens die vreselijk drukke weken. Blotting paper mocht de spits afbijten, nu is het de beurt aan nummer 2: de neutrale blush.
Do you think the holidays are still in the far future? Maybe. But the last few weeks before Christmas and co., there is a chronic shortage of time. And that’s why nów is the ideal time to reflect on your make-up and care routine. Masks and proper hydration are essential elements during December. But what products should you invest in to rock the all-night-long parties and dinners, or to just look awesome? In this five-part series I’m talking about my personal must-haves for the upcoming busy weeks. Blotting paper broke the ice, now it is time for number 2: the neutral blush.
Wist je dat er een tint blush op de markt is die iedereen goed staat? Of je nu een extreem bleke huid hebt (hallo!) of gezegend bent met een olijfkleurige tint, deze kleur staat iedereen. Dat is althans wat de MUA bij MAC me heeft verteld – en ik geloof die mensen. The magic words? Koraal & peach (met een lichte neiging naar taupe). En in principe alle kleuren daartussenin (taupe-kleurige exemplaren zijn trouwens heaven on earth voor bleekhuiden die aan het contouren willen slaan – véél mooier dan de meeste bronzers). Voor de feestdagen heb ik alvast mijn drie favorieten klaarliggen: L’Aurore van L’Occitane (oude collectie), Melon van Gosh en Melba van MAC.

Waarom deze dan zo perfect zijn voor tijdens de feestdagen? Heel simpel: ze zijn neutraal. Want weinig tot geen gele of rode ondertonen, dus perfect voor zowel de bleke als de sunkissed huidjes. Wat wil zeggen dat je je volop kan focussen op je ogen of lippen en niet te hard moet nadenken over welke kleur blush het best bij je make-up past. Of bij je feestkleding. Afwerken doe je met een sparkling highlighter. Ik ben dit seizoen alvast grote fan van Melon, Melba en L’Aurore, want ze staan super bij al die prachtige herfstkleuren in je make-up, kleding én omgeving. Nu is hét moment om je online zoektocht te beginnen naar die ene perfecte blush… En ik geef alvast wat inspiratie.

Now you can fully focus on your eyes or lips and you should not be thinking about what blush color will suit your make-up or your party dress. Finish off with a sparkling highlighter. This season, I’m already a huge fan of Melon, Melba and L’Aurore, because they form the perfect combination with all the fall colours in your make-up, clothing ánd environment.
