Denim on Denim with a Pop of Suakoko Betty! (The Fashionista Next Door)

Happy Friday!! Yesterday was the first day of spring, and after a dreary cold and wet start to the week, the sun showed up to welcome the season of change. Yesterday was also the first day of my annual birthday vacation. I have a rule — birthdays are your personal holiday, and you should NEVER work on birthdays…in fact, you should take a few days off to celebrate. Lol! Seriously, I do this every year. This year, my birthday falls on a Sunday so naturally I took off a few days before and after instead. These days are a like a gift to myself.

So anyway, the first day of spring definitely called for a little pop of color. And, nobody does pops of color like my friend and Suakoko Betty designer, Charlene. She recently sent me one of her fabulous wax print clutches. Love the print…love the colors…love the over-sized slouchy shape. I just love it! Paired with my Barbie pink pumps, on a head-t0-toe denim canvas, the African print clutch is just perfect.
