Denim Cutoffs Season…

Zara Blazer (last summer, similar) | Old Navy Tank ($6) | DIY Denim Cutoffs | Thrifted Men’s Belt | Shoedazzle Pumps (old, similar) | JustFab “Industry” Bag ($39.95) | Jewelmint “Halo” Rings ($29.99 for a set of 5) Lips: Maybelline “Electric Orange” | Nails: Julep “Avery”

I love a good pair of cutoff shorts, and I especially like to pair them with pieces that are just a little more tailored like this over-sized boyfriend blazer. Without I’m just wearing a regular ol’ tank top and cutoff shorts…an outfit that’s only fit for the running errands or heading to the beach or pool…but the blazer makes the whole thing look really put together. Throw on a pair of fly pumps, and voila! I’m ready for wherever the day takes me.

Now, putting this outfit together took all of 5 minutes, but finding the perfect pair of denim cutoffs is another story. For me the perfect pair was high waisted, relaxed fit, bleach stained, and only slightly destroyed….oh, and long enough to cover my entire butt!! Lol. Honestly, I after multiple failed attempts to buy denim cutoffs I gave up and just made my own. The thing is all the really cute ones are either too damn short or too damn expensive. I mean, I’m just too old to have my cheeks hanging out of my shorts, and I refuse to pay $100 for a pair of cutup jeans. I made these last summer and I totally forgot to take pics of the process for a tutorial, but I’ve received multiple requests for one, so I’m working on a new pair. In the meantime, here’s a good, super easy tutorial on YouTube.

Have a GREAT week! xoxo.
