What!? I’m Wearing a Crop Top with No Jacket… (The Fashionista Next Door)

So, I’m a huge fan of the crop top jacket combo (seen here and here). For me, it’s a safe way to get in on the trend without feeling soooooo self-conscious about my lack of six-pack…or four-pack…or any pack at all. Buuuuut, this past weekend I was feeling feisty! Maybe it’s all those late night trips to the gym that made me do it??? Whatever the reason, I was feeling confident enough to walk out of my house…in puiblic…wearing a FITTED crop top with no jacket. I still followed my other rules for pulling off a crop top…wear it something high-waisted, and always make sure your belly button is covered, but I let go of my ultimate security blanket – the blazer. And, I’m so glad I did…because I really love this outfit. It’s exactly what I would be wearing if I had gone to New York for Fashion Week. (Sigh.)

Speaking of shoes, how amazing are these turquoise sandals?! They’re so cute, I had to write a whole separate most about ‘em. I mean, did you peep how they lace up in the back? YAAAAAASSSS!! You need them. They also come in black and deep purple. I think I need the purple. Yes, I’m that girl who buys the same shoe in multiple colors. Dont Judge me. I’m getting better. I’m in shoe rehab.
