Is it Fall Yet? (The Fashionista Next Door)

Prepare yourselves for at least 4 more weeks of me whining about the weather. Lol! I wish it would just be fall already. If I’m being totally honest, this summer in Atlanta has been relatively mild. Some rainy evenings, we may even get a nice breeze. I took advantage of one such evening, and broke out one of my favorite light sweaters.

I really wish you guys could see the detail on this sweater. It has colorful metallic threads weaved throughout the knit, and it’s just soooo pretty. I’ve been wanting to pair it with these shoes since I bought them at the beginning of summer. In person, the color of the shoes really complements the pinkish metallic threads in the sweater.

So, have you guys been reading the buzz in the fashion world about skinny jeans going out of style in 2014? Umm, yeah…while I’m open to adding other denim styles to my wardrobe, I highly doubt I’ll be ditching my skinny jeans completely anytime soon. I mean, let’s be honest, is there anything more flattering than a good pair of dark wash skinnies? I think not. For that reason alone, I’m pretty sure skinnies are in our closets to stay. That said, the boyfriend jean has been near and dear to my heart since they first came on the scene in like 2007. So, I won’t complain at all about their resurgence as a top trend for 2014. You guys already know how I feel about these GAP Original Fit jeans…they were going to get a lot of wear this fall…top trend or not! Lol.
