I have a 2 year old daughter.

And this is her! And this is her birthday! What????

It's just that when something has been your dream for so long it just takes so long to accept that it has actually happened. The day to day helps with that because it's sometimes chaotic and stressful and you just don't have a moment to reflect...but sitting here typing about my daughters 2nd birthday is just a lot to take in.

She is the most precious being I could ever have imagined. Actually, I always imagine the future as being the best it possibly could be...this is a good and bad trait...but in this case, she is actually MORE than I dreamt up.

Every day I get to with her is like the icing on the cake. I have racked up 2 whole years with this angel. I haven't been away from her for more than a few hours at any time. We are absolutely rock solid bonded and I am so thankful for the time I've been able to spend with her. Not everyone has that luxury and it is a luxury. Sure, I have my own stresses and challenges trying to work full time and care for her full time, but when it comes down to it, I am living in luxury.

Anyway, I had so much fun trying to make this birthday weekend special for her. Times like these make me feel so grateful to get to be a mom...but not a mom to just anyone...a mom to my dream baby. ;)
