Back-to-School CP Project Inspiration: A Gift for a Friend - Stephanie Buice

Once again, we start the week off with another round of back-to-school Crate Paper projects! Today, CP Gal, Stephanie Buice, wishes a special friend 'Good Luck' on her return to the classroom with a colorful card and gift arrangement.

.......

The other day while I was shopping, I picked up a little back-to-school surprise for a friend. I made up a card and a matching gift bag to wrap up her new pens and wish her good luck on her first day back.

A cute card and wrapping make even the smallest gift extra special.

My card is pretty simple, just added some embellishments to a tag, attached the yellow bow sticker and placed it on a white card base layered with a few pattern papers.

I kept the colors simple and cheerful and used the same color combination for both card and bag.

To make the bag I cut a 12" x 12" piece of paper in half. I left one piece taller to make the closure flap, and cut the other one to about six inches. Then, I placed them together and sewed up the sides and bottom.

I kept the embellishments on the bag simple just like the card, I used one of the banner stickers placing it on top of some patterned paper layers. To finish it off I placed some bows at the base of the medallion to pull it together.

I think taking a little bit of extra time to make things pretty, will not only bring a smile to a friend's face but also make your giving all the more meaningful.
