Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer ($24) for Fall 2014 is a new hybrid formula with intense pigment in a lightweight formula.
After trying Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer for just one week, I am totally smitten with this formula! It feels VERY comfortable on the lips with a non-sticky, velvety-smooth texture that conditions your lips thanks to vitamin E. The finish is super glossy and when that wears off you are left with a nice even stain. I have heard complaints that the stain is not the same shade as the original color but I did not experience that. I chose the shade Knockout, a vibrant hot pink. Knockout, though vivid, is a classic color that works all year round. It’s flirty with summer sundresses and sultry with a sexy pencil skirt and silk blouse.
The wand is flat on each side which makes it super easy-peasy to apply. If you choose a light shade and have a steady hand you can skip lip liner!
There are three attributes of Smashbox Be Legendary Long Wear Lip Lacquer that have me impressed: the non-stick formula, the long lasting stain and the hydration. Too many of these liquid lipsticks are drying. I love the high shine and texture of these so much I think they compare to YSL Glossy Stains at a third of the price!!
