Isabel Marant pour H&M

If you have been living under a rock in the fashion universe, the Isabel Marant pour H&M collection hit the stores yesterday. I was crazy enough to be one of the early birds (2 am) waiting in line to get a chance at scoring some of the collection. With a sleeping bag and some blankets we waited for about 5 hours on the sidewalk outside of the Beverly Center. A friend of mine and I had been planning our attack plan for this collection for quite sometime. I think our plan worked out pretty well. With a few bruises and very sore arms, we were successful at snatching up some of our favorite items from the collection. We managed to be part of the first group of 30 shoppers. The 15 minutes went by so quick, it honestly was all a blur. We grabbed as much as we could and sorted through everything when we got out from the barricaded section. With a few items missed, I trolled around people looking for unwanted items. It was an act of desperation and dedication.
Our awarded efforts after the madness of shopping the collection. The shopping bags they give after you have checked out are super cute. I mean that alone is worth shopping the collection in store.
Items above are some of the items that I was able to pick up. I got a few extra sweatshirts in the men's version for my mom and sister. I couldn't leave them out. The quickest item to go was the black and white zip up cardigan. I had to troll around the store look for it. Luckily a shopper didn't want it and left it hanging on a random rack. It was mine. The fringe boots were my number 1 item that i wanted from entire collection and that was the first thing I went for. After that it was a mad dash to get everything you can get your hands on. Looking for sizes was a pain. Items were not really labeled properly or efficiently. If you are wondering about quality, items are actually well made. The shoes are Made in Portugal if anyone cares, but I do. The chunky knits are top quality for the price you pay and given that her collection pieces are usually up in the $1K and up price range. The fit of the coats could be better. The sleeves were a little off. I think the herringbone Mango oversize blazer I got from last year was a closer alternative. The denim bottoms were a bit of a disappointment. I ended up with no bottoms, but I am fine with that. If I could get one more thing, it would be the black and white silk dress that I got in the top version for my sister. How did everyone else do?
