The Breslin

I had dinner last night at The Breslin for my birthday. The big 2 9 should be celebrated indulging in some of the finest food Manhattan has to offer, right? April Bloomfield's cooking is the perfect example of comforting and refined. Taking classics and elevating them to a whole other level. The Bres has become one of my favorite restaurants in the city. I get intense cravings for April's caesar salad and the steak and eggs. I am salivating right now thinking about it. Last night I stated firmly to my friends "I need my own caesar salad I don't wanna share." My friend Chloe looked at me while digging into hers "Um, oh my god this is SO good." For our second course we ordered an enormous dry aged steak with bernaise, accompanied with the best super crispy french fries. Being there last night reminded me that I never shared these photos I took for them a few months back. I urge you to visit if you haven't, I also strongly recommend the fish and chips with caper remoulade. Tune into the new season of Mind of a Chef on PBS featuring April Bloomfield. Love that girl. Happy New Years everyone!
