Artist of the Month - Cyril Power
Cyril Power was born in 1872, in Chelsea, England and began his art career as a linocut artist. He was commercially successful with his linocut career, but as he grew older he became increasingly interested in painting with oils and created around 98 pieces of work before his death in 1951. Having always been sort of obsessed with eyes in art, and jewelry, and tea pots, this piece would fit right in with my mix. Hope you are getting excited for summer, because it felt like it was here today in Seattle!
