#ablecaw14 Week 11: Winter Wonderland

I'm currently (hopefully) enjoying sunny and warm weather at Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, so what better time to share my Winter Wonderland nail art with you guys than now, right?! :D Yup, I'm not really sure if I truly wish that it's already winter wonderland in Finland when I get back, but I surely would like to have some snow for Christmas. But as Winter Wonderland is the second theme of this week Finnish(able) Nail Art Challenge, then Winter Wonderland is what you are going to get here!

To me Winter Wonderland means definitely snow, so that was the thing I went with. I did a french manicure using OPI Angel With a Leadfoot as the white for my tips and OPI Don't Touch My Tutu! as the sheer color. Then I topped the manicure with two coats of OPI Pirouette My Whistle. After it was dry, I painted those smaller snow flakes on each nail with a tiny nail art brush and Angel With a Leadfoot. Then once again I applied one coat of Don't Touch My Tutu! and one coat of Pirouette My Whistle to get some dimension and debth going. Then I painted the second bigger snow flakes with the same brush and polish and topped the whole thing with one coat of quick drying top coat.

Of course I had to do this manicure a bit in advance because of my vacation, but I really liked the delicate look of this eventhough I thought it wasn't really completely right time for a winter wonderland manicure. I really liked the look of traditional french manicure with freehand nail art, I think it looks so great and beautiful!

I'm actually participating a Finnish nail art contest with these nails and the competition is still going on, so wish me luck! :)
