Black Magic

The dress section of my closet gets a little neglected sometimes… like 99% of the time. For the most part, I only reach for a dress when there’s a special event and even then I get sick of my options pretty darn quick. When an event is that special, you want something fresh and new and never before seen. It sounds high maintenance, but you know it’s true. Of course that leads to an endless cycle of never wanting to buy new dresses yet always needing to. However, it’s amazing how adding a layer or accessory can change the vibe of a dress pretty quick. I know it’s beating a dead horse at this point but whenever a leather jacket comes into the mix, it always makes the piece it’s complimenting way more wearable to me. There’s something about leather jackets that just work with everything. The cut, shape, and structure work better over dresses than your typical blazer or cardigan. This sequin dress is something I’d wear to a black tie wedding, but the leather takes it all the way down to drinks with the girls or a holiday networking event. It’s like magic!
