League of My Own
a medium, more green-than-blue teal inspired by the sea
My Take
When I bought this and saw how green it was, I was initially disappointed and put this away and didn’t touch it for several months. Then I decided to try ordering a few more colors from Limnit instead. It’s definitely what I would call a turquoise green, reminds me a bit of the 80s. The full size lipstick I have is the older formula, which seems sort of patchy. The newer formula is much smoother.

Freestyle
a bright, medium blue with a slight tinge of teal, this shade will leave you daydreaming of sunny days
My Take
I definitely consider this more of a turquoise blue. Love it!

Deepest Taupes and Dreams
An off-black shade similar to dark chocolate or espresso, this color would look great paired with other neutrals, medium/dark hues of just about any color, or even as an unexpected contrast to a brighter ensemble.
My Take
This reminds me of the 90s because it’s a brown lipstick. I don’t think it’s flattering on me.

Goodness Graycious
a slightly cool medium “greige” (gray with a smidge of brown), this color pairs well with any medium/dark colors or can be used as a bold contrast against pastels. This color is quite the chameleon and looks different on everyone; in some lights it even appears to have a tinge of purple!
My Take
Greige is definitely the right way to describe this. I’m not sure how I feel about me wearing this one.

Olly Olly Oxen Free
a versatile, medium oxblood with purple undertones
My Take
Pretty and deep, sort of a berry / oxblood

Swept Away
Teetering between a medium mauve and cool pink, Swept Away is a perfect “go to” color.
My Take
I bought this in hopes that it would be similar to Lovecraft but it’s deeper in tone. They’re not similar. I still think it’s very pretty and flattering.

The Fuchsia is Now
The Fuchsia is Now and it is bright, bold, and oh-so-pretty! A medium, cool pink that is very versatile, add this lipstick to any look to pump it up a notch!
My Take
a soft but bright fuchsia pink. I like this one a lot.

Castle in the Sky
This slightly-cool pinky purple hue will add just a touch of whimsy to any look!
My Take
a pretty soft pinky-purple. one of my favorites from Limnit

I swatched Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipsticks next to some of the Limnit Lipsticks. From Left to Right – KVD Lovecraft – Limnit Swept Away – KVD Bauhaus – Limnit Olly Olly Oxen Free – KVD Poe – Ardency Inn Black is Blue – Limnit Bewitching Hour.

I have more Limnit Lipstick shades that I will show you soon. This is part one.

As far as the formula goes, I find this one of the most comfortable lipstick formulas to wear. and I attribute this to the shea butter, jojoba oil, coconut oil, cocoa seed butter, and the vitamin E.

The shades do vary in opacity but all can be built up. Partially it’s because I applied them all with lip brushes and not directly from a tube to start.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchases from Limnit Lipsticks and I’ll buy from them again in the future. I really want to pick up a full size of Swept Away and Freestyle.

What do you think of Limnit Lipsticks? Which shades would you wear?
