In September I switched from biotin to Hairfinity Hair Vitamins. Hairfinity is supposed to be a supercharged version of biotin. In addition to biotin, these pills contain Vitamins A, C, D and a B-Vitamin complex, all of which are supposed to help increase the hair growth rate by 155% while decreasing shedding. Hairfinity is used by celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Phaedra Parks (the reality show lady, not my poodle) Taraji P Henson, and more.

My stylist trimmed my hair on Oct. 30th, 2014

Now, I’m sure you’re wondering, do these pills really work? Well, in my experience they do! I was taking biotin from January until September, when I switched to Hairfinity. My hair has continued to grow long and healthy, even if I do bemoan that it feels like it’s taking forever to grow, according to my stylist it is not. When I went in to have it trimmed on Oct. 30th my stylist remarked that she thought it was growing fast (she hadn’t seen me since August) and that it was in great shape. She just nipped off the ends and shaped it so that I can continue to grow out my hair. I’m aiming for a few inches below the shoulder!

These pills did not irritate my sensitive skin. I did not experience any break outs while taking them (and I’m still currently taking them). As a reminder, I do take Oracea every other day for my rosacea. If I’m having a rosacea flare up, I take my Oracea daily.

My only complaint with these pills are the size! I feel like they’re huge and hard to swallow. I prefer small pills or chewables. But aside from that, I feel like Hairfinity works at least as well as biotin, if not better, in my experience.
