2014 CTS x The Starving Stylist: Cadillac Living

As my experience of living in Toronto grows greater each and every day, my fondest moment has definitely been this past weekend when I had the incredible opportunity to spend 48 hours in the lap of luxury for the greatly anticipated reveal of the 2014 Cadillac CTS.

Along with my very good friend, Patrick of @PostPat, we packed our Louis Vuitton carry-ons and checked ourselves into a room at the ultra lavish Shangri-La Hotel in Downtown Toronto for the weekend. Like Julia Roberts in 'Pretty Woman', I pranced around in awe of the hotel room and opened every drawer and closet and squealed at every surprise.

After all the prancing and a quick freshen up, we made way down for lunch at the chic dining room of Bosk in the Shangri-la for a wonderful luncheon before heading off to Holt Renfrew for a styling session with the beautiful Alexis Honce—fashion and wardrobe extraordinaire based here in Toronto. I tried on some bold outfits and of course took as many shameless selfies in the grand fitting room as I could—very typical of me, yes I know.

As the day rounded up and of course with a complete outfit change, we headed to dinner at Momofuku Daisho. We sipped on delicious CTS and Cadillac named concocted cocktails and feasted on a meal grand enough for a king. As dinner wrapped up, we were then whisked away in black Cadillac Escalades complete with drivers for a private tour of, David Bowie is exhibit at the AGO. The exhibit was incredible and it was so difficult for me not to try to touch the beautiful costumes and outfits, especially the ones designed by Alexander McQueen. This tour definitely created a new profound respect for Bowie in my eyes.

With the private tour ending, we capped off the wonderful evening with a luxurious champagne tasting session, which without a doubt is a personal fave—I do love my bubbles!

Day 2 has come and the reveal of the 2014 Cadillac CTS is finally here.

I quickly checked out of the hotel and was handed keys to my personal 2014 Cadillac CTS for the day. With the excitement of having a brand new car, I made a mad dash to the vehicle to check out it's entire beauty.

With my Chanel toting ways and my infinite taste for things with great splendour, it was obvious to say that the new CTS would be something I definitely would appreciate, which I certainly did. The vehicle is luxurious, absolutely luxurious. Smooth leather interior, a marvellous looking dashboard, incredible attention to detail with an overall clean sleek look to the car—This vehicle is definitely a stunner. Oh, did I mention, the 'new car smell'?—I LOVE NEW CAR SMELL.

So as the fun begins, I get behind the wheel to depart up North of the city to revel in the beauty of Ontario's Autumn. The drive was spectacular. The views, sights and gorgeous colours of fall, it couldn't be any more beautiful, but what also made this experience so great was the incredibly smooth handle of this powerful vehicle and the very quiet engine—It was quite the relaxing drive to be quite honest. I loved it.

Finally arriving to our destination for the afternoon, a private lunch was held at Haisai Restaurant. The room is jaw-dropping. I was in complete awe of the extraordinary atmosphere of the restaurant. The interior and every stick of furniture was completely constructed by the chef himself and everything was decorated using found and recycled materials. With the atmosphere so amazing, the food itself was equally wonderful. Using only ingredients locally grown or raised on a nearby farm, with every bite taken, you can definitely taste the freshness.

With bellies full of deliciousness and with another scenic drive back home to the city, my luxurious weekend with Cadillac and the CTS program was coming to an end, which meant I had to face going back to reality after having such an incredible 48 hours. But with that said, those were 48 hours I will always take to heart as an adventure I will never forget and this was the perfect welcome to Toronto experience.

Major thanks to Cadillac, GM Canada, Natalie Nankil and everyone else who made this fabulous weekend as great as it was. Thank you.
