Have you ever had one of those days when you leave the house thinking you look cute, only to see yourself in photos and realize you didn’t look as cute as you thought you did? Yeah me too, and yesterday was definitely one of those days. I headed to Malibu for a super fun pool party, but I got stuck in traffic for quite some time and by the time I arrived my dress was a bit of a wrinkled mess and my hair was disheveled, as you can probably tell from these pictures. We all can’t have perfect outfit days I suppose. On the bright side, it was a beautiful day and the grounds were gorgeous. It was a hot summer day and I was feeling this loose maxi dress. I was attempting to channel a grecian goddess with this look but the heat and my mood made it a less than perfect execution. (My hair is also in desperate need of a salon visit, which it will be getting this weekend!) The gladiator sandals are one of my favorites for summer and I try to wear them every chance I get. (One thing about this pair though, is that it is hard to keep all the straps even.) The dress was actually given to me by a friend because it didn’t fit her and it seemed the the perfect thing for a pool party to throw on when I was feeling less than my best (if you know what I mean…)
