London Fashion Week Runway Recap

http://www.glamlatte.com

For the last post on my time in London I am bringing you a recap of the fashion shows I attended. This was my first exposure to the London fashion scene and I was really impressed with what it had to offer! My conclusion: London is a chic city with fashion options for everyone. Here is a break down of a few of my favorites:

Christopher Raeburn: This collection had an uber- chic sporty vibe with neutral tones and I would rock just about everything straight off the runway. It was full of slouchy silhouettes, oversized silk parkas with a focus on functionality.

Julien MacDonald: I was in awe of everything that came down that runway. Each piece, better than the last. It was all about glamor and femininity with sparkle, tight silhouettes, sheer panels and embroidery.

Erdem: One word: OBSESSED. A jungle theme set the stage for a tropical vibe, with monochromatic tones featuring rich blues and greens and Victorian influences with high collars and tight bodices.

Issa: There was a new direction happening with three dimensional prints, particularly horses which I thought was fashion forward and begging to get in my closet. There was some color blocking among the mostly graphic monochrome collection, that felt fresh, urban and modern.

House of Holland: Though I typically don’t gravitate towards 60’s era dressing, there were several pieces from this collection I loved. It felt really upbeat with baby-doll minidresses, floral prints and vibrant colors.

What do you think of these collections? Do you have a favorite?

XO,
