Packing Preview // Beauty & Style Remix // Target Style
My latest collaboration with Target and Mode Media for Target Style has me thinking about holiday vacations, which inevitably include holiday parties, dinner dates, nights out with friends, and cozy family hangouts. Since I’ve already created a Holiday Packing Preview, Target Style earlier in the season and would stay true to that, I thought I’d do a quick remix and add a few beauty favorites as well.
Style Remix…
My outfit above, and from yesterday’s outfit post, is a favorite for so many reasons. First and foremost, it’s easy. A basic black on black outfit that’s flattering with a bold coat works for nearly anything. The sneakers, scarf, and bag make it perfect for casual hangouts and by simply removing the scarf, adding heels or boots, and pairing it with a different bag or clutch, instantly makes it holiday party ready, and I love that. Remove the coat and add a pair of simple black flats or boots, and you have a chic outfit for any event. It’s perfect for nearly all holiday occasions, and this means you can pack lightly, saving time and energy.

Beauty Remix…
Though it’s fun to go heavy on the makeup during the holidays for a little extra glam, traveling with makeup can be a bummer. The goal is to look your best, and keep your skin glowing throughout your vacation and below are my picks for just that.
A BB Cream is quick and has great coverage. I like to mix it with a little face lotion to lighten it up a bit and add a little glow, then brush on little glow powder on top to finish the look. This Sonia Kashuk shimmer palette has all the colors you need to create a day or evening eye, and eyeliner and mascara are always a must! I like to go easy on the lips so I don’t have to worry about lipstick stains and shimmer gloss is always in my handbag. Glitter nail polish is easy to swoop on at any time and since it stays on FOREVER, you’ll never have to worry about your mani chipping during your holiday vacation. Toss in a few lint removing sheets and you’re good to go!
