An Early Christmas In London

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was taking a few days off from work and blogging to have a break. Adam and I took a trip to London from Wednesday until today, to spend an early Christmas together since we don’t get to spend the actual day with each other.

We stayed in The Cumberland Hotel which is just off of Oxford Street and we had two and a half days worth of shopping time and exploring the Christmas lights. We didn’t worry about seeing Big Ben, the London Eye or Buckingham Palace again, we have seen the sights numerous times, so this time we just concentrated on buying the things we wanted in the sales and enjoying Christmas a little early! I even got to meet Santa (yes, he was the real one!) in Selfridges which excited me! It took me back to being a kid again!

We ate in the hotels Brasserie, Prezzo and Wagamama, as well as getting our usual snack pieces from Marks & Spencers. It was really nice exploring all of the shops and this time actually doing more shopping for Adam than myself. I only picked up a couple of things in Topshop, a jumper in the sale at Diesel and some chocolate from Liberty. Adam was lucky enough to find a pair of his Bottega Veneta moccasin shoes at half price in the boutique and pick up a jumper in Gap, among a couple of other things in other stores. It was great being able to check out J.Crew in person too!

Overall, I had a really lovely time in London for Christmas. Our room was beautiful and I enjoyed the much needed break. I only allowed myself Instagram (@LornaRaindrops), I find it’s crazy just how attached I am to work (like most fashion bloggers), wherever I am, so I’m glad I could relax. How are you spending your holiday breaks so far? I hope you like these Christmas photos too! They were taken with my iPhone since we never took the camera, but let me know what you think!
