Visiting The Top of The Rock

Hello, friends! We are having the best time in New York City. It has far exceeded our wildest expectations and we are head over heels in love with this city! I was worried that we would feel a bit lost among the throngs of people and the hustle and bustle, but instead we feel complete, safe, and inexplicably at home. We are packing in as many things as we possibly can, including shopping and visiting Times Square, but visiting The Top of the Rock was pretty epic.

We booked our tickets in advance, wrung our hands when the wait was much longer than we expected, and despite all the anxiety, were greeted with what I am certain will be the most memorable sunset we have ever experienced. The city skyline went from shades of blue to sun kissed gold just before the lights began to light the sky as the sun dipped below the horizon. While we were not alone in our experience, the crushing throng seemed equally impressed and we had to literally tear ourselves away… Even now as I think back, I can feel the heat of the sun on my face, the chill in the air… the magnitude of humanity…
