Destination Summer Part II

Hat: Madewell, Top: Aritzia, Pants: Athleta, Shoes: Nine West, Bag: Banana Republic

If you remember my post from a few days back, I talked about my summer plans with Nine West and today I’m taking you all from the beach to the juice bar! There is something about the long summer days and warm sunshine that always makes me want to be at my healthiest. I struggle in the winter with curbing my sugar cravings (still haven’t kicked that habit yet!) but in the summer I’m a lot better at balancing diet and exercise. My family has been coming to Stone Harbor for over 30 years and we JUST got a juice bar last summer. For years there was nothing but cheesesteaks, cheese fries, pizza and only ONE healthy restaurant. I’m so happy that the health movement has made its way to our humble little island.

It’s only a handful of blocks from the house so I have no gripes about being even healthier by walking to get my juice in a comfy pair of wedges. It’s all about maximizing my time outside in the fresh, salty air and giving myself enough energy to make it through the hot summer days. I adore the lace-up wedge because I can easily wear it with my casual clothes for a sporty vibe. The cognac color makes it a pretty versatile option for dresses or shorts and even will carry nicely into the fall.

I just love small businesses that just want to make everyone feel healthy and happy. How cute of an idea is the mason jar beach juice cup?? SO easy to make (aka PIN IT now).

You can check out more of my summer story and my curated shoe selects with Nine West here! Don’t judge me for the ice cream shop photos… I didn’t say I didn’t have a weakness for sugar.. you’ve been warned. ☺

Xo,
SG
