Rawrgirls Review . . . Clarins Skincare!

9 weeks ago I posted this pic on Instagram because I had just embarked on a new skincare regime with some Clarins minis. My usual skincare (probably to T's horror) is pretty non-existent. I use a face wash and moisturiser obviously, but anything else is pretty sporadic - until now!

Okay, so in this pretty little parcel we had the following:

Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser With Peach Essential Water
HydraQuench Cream SPF15 Normal to Dry Skin
HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase
Beauty Flash Balm
Instant Eye Make-Up Remover
HydraQuench Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm
Hand and Nail Treatment Cream

The Standouts!
I tried my very best to stick to this twice a day routine, and after only a week in I saw a massive improvement in my skin. I have what I call reverse combination skin, as in I have a dry T-zone and oily cheeks so I find it difficult to find a cleanser that works which is why I tend to use a face wash but the Water Comfort One-Step Cleanser With Peach Essential Water is a whole new world for me. I ran out of the mini sample after about 4 weeks and made a rush trip to Debenhams to buy the full size because I couldn't live without it! It just makes my skin feel so clean and fresh without stripping my T-zone and it's kind of made me rethink my skin type. This particular Water Comfort Cleanser is for Dry-Normal skin, but because I do have oily bits I never choose products for dry skin, and maybe that's where I was going wrong.

The HydraQuench cream and HydraQuench serum are an absolute dream team. The cream is my next full size purchase, but the sample has lasted so long because you really don't need a lot at all. I use the serum when my skin feels like it needs an extra hit. It's definitely a luxury product at £42 but now I've used it I don't know if I could cope without it - GULP.

The Instant Eye Make-Up Remover is amazing. I love the non-greasiness of it all, it's almost like using water to remove your mazzy and I only need one soaked pad for 2 eyes. 9 weeks later and the mini sample bottle still has a quarter left - crazy!

And finally, a big shout out to the HydraQuench Lipbalm! I remember using it for the first time and checking out my own lips in the mirror every time I went to the bathroom because I felt like Angelina Jolie, they were so pink and plump!

Overall, I loved every one of the products but I'm not a first time Beauty Flash Balm user, so that one was a given, and to be honest I don't use hand cream often enough to feel the benefits of this particular one. My skin has seen a big improvement though, it's much cleaner and I'm not struggling with my dry T-Zone as much as I used to. It may sound like a premium skincare regime is expensive but most of these Clarins mini samples are still going strong after 9 weeks and they're not even full size, which proves that the products are good value for money! Consider us Clarins converts - to the counter!

J - Just peachy.
