laundry room WIP

Aloha, guess what we are a week nearer to Christmas, haha, are your presents all wrapped and sitting in the loft ready to go? Hope so. Guess what? I have only 20 weeks until I do a 50km walk. Are my legs sitting in the loft toned, muscly and ready to rock? Oh gosh.

So, let’s talk about the laundry room. This has halted, it’s not good. I am very glad that I ripped it apart and it is in progress, I am not that pleased that its progress is slow. As you can see the laundry tub that I showed you before is toast, we ripped that and the taps out…

However you cannot do everything in life can you and some things have to give at times and this time with the beach house hunting (plus all the huge amount of other stuff to get in line as part of that), and sport (not mine wish it was) and the new roof which is going on very soon, and you know, just life with a small business and three kids, one pooch and lots of quilts, it has been this…

It’s not just time though that has halted the progress…we got stuck in here because of basically the two windows, the two doors and their placement - above is the 3D of the room, as you can see it’s tricky and really to get around it and give us some much needed storage is to get rid of one of the windows, but that is not really an option for a few reasons I won’t go into…I’ve been around and around and back again and around in this little digital world that is a replica of the oddest shaped laundry room in the Southern Hemisphere, indeed perhaps the universe, many times…

Plus as you can also see by this, the right-hand window, which is the window which faces out is strangely low to the ground, which means that pretty much nothing works on this wall or near this wall…

So I am back to the drawing board on this…the digital one, I am now going to look into appliances and see if I can get the same load capacity as this one (I do not in any shape or form need to add any more loads of laundry to my life) but in a smaller model and although I vowed when we moved to Australia that I would never ever have a front loader again (top loaders were not available in England) I think that could be a solution to the height of the window problem…

See you tomorrow, I have some pics from our beach house hunting trip at the weekend (there’s a lot more work than we initially thought) but hopefully soon some news as we are ready to go in all departments which means we are talking $$$
