Jesse’s Girl Satin Finish Nail Color

Although Jesse’s Girl has focused a lot of color development in the nail polish line they launched with JulieG, the brand has just released a new, six-piece collection in its signature Jesse’s Girl Nail Color line!

The Satin Finish Nail Color collection has six jewel-like hues that have a satin-matte finish.

Check them out with me!

Sea Glass:

Sea Glass is a pretty blue -toned green shimmer satin matte. It’s shown here in two coats, with a base of Probelle and Glisten & Glow Stuck on Blu base coat.

Azure:

Azure is a pretty sapphire blue satin matte. I haven’t been to the beach yet this summer, and this polish makes me want to lie on the sand, listening to the waves. Shown here in two coats, no base.

Amethyst:

Amethyst is a pretty purple satin-matte, that looks like it has complex microshimmers of different colors, like pink and blue! Shown here in two coats, with no base.

Black Satin:

Black Satin is a charcoal satin. Shown here in two coats, no base.

Brunello:

Brunello looks to me like a blackened berry base packed with red microshimmer. I love the glow on this one, it’s one of my favorites from the bunch. Shown here in two coats. Despite the glittery shimmer inside that makes this glow, it dried relatively flat. That last pic is blurry but really shows off the wine shimmer of this polish!

Cauldron:

Cauldron is a beautiful blackened-red base, packed with what look like red flakes. This one was gritty to apply, but dried only with a slightly textured matte satin finish. This is my favorite of the Satin Touch collection – it’s a beautiful glowing polish. I can’t wait to wear this in fall! Shown here in two coats.

I found that these worked best with no base coat. I used a sticky base coat to wear Sea Glass and it was a bear to apply, very patchy. It worked, but I believe no base coat is best.

The wear time impressed me. I wore Sea Glass for two days, and there were nails that didn’t even have tip wear. For a matte finish nail polish, that’s pretty awesome on me. These types of polishes chip on me very quickly. Now I know I can likely get three or four days of wear from these.

You can purchase the Satin Finish Nail Color collection through the Jesse’s Girl website here, for $3.99 each, or the whole set for $20.01, and they will be available soon at Rite Aid.

What do you think of the Satin Finish collection? Are you feeling the satin matte trend right now?! I think Cauldron is my absolute favorite from the above picks – what’s yours?
